Tar is created from charcoal piles or can be dug from tar pits. Tar can be used to fuel lanterns and lamps, and is required to make a torch. It isn't advised to use Tar as a fuel for stone forges, stone ovens or campfires.

Tar is also used for making boats, and can be used as a preservative for floor boards.
